Top senior executives of Estonian public service gather in Tartu

The main topics of the 5th Annual Conference of Estonian Public Service Top Executives titled as “Unused Opportunities” are innovation, extensive national defence, and the Work Capacity Reform.

Bettina von Stamm, a recognised expert from the United Kingdom, will deliver a presentation on innovation, discussions will take place on the topics of national defence and the Work Capacity Reform. Also, Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas will meet the top executives.

The results of the study on the commitment of public service top executives will also be introduced at the conference. According to the recent study, the commitment of top executives to their work stays at a high level. This result indicates that their level of commitment is the same as among the most committed Western Europe senior executives. Top executives are motivated by the chance to serve the country and participate in making important decisions for Estonia, as well as hold a responsible and challenging position.

The conference of Estonian public service top executives takes place for the fifth time. Secretary generals and deputy secretary generals of the ministries, as well as director generals of the boards and inspectorates will participate in the conference. There are a total of 96 positions of public service top executives in Estonia.

The conference is organised by the Top Civil Service Excellence Centre of the Government Office and it is funded from the European Social Fund and the budget of the Government Office.
