Innovation Projects

Public sector innovation projects are funded through the Innovation Fund and the Innovation Programme. During the current EU funding period, the Innovation Fund supports projects that seek solutions for implementing the changes identified in the Estonia 2035 strategy by applying new knowledge and technologies. The Innovation Programme is an approximately eight-month design-thinking-based programme for developing public services. Since 2019, four Innovation Programmes have been carried out, involving a total of 26 projects.

    2.2.1. Improving the Efficiency of Legislative Drafting

    The aim was to develop a prototype of a user-friendly IT platform that would support the entire legislative and policymaking process and enable a transparent co-creation process involving legislative drafters and other stakeholders interested in Estonia’s development.
