Innovation Projects

Public sector innovation projects are funded through the Innovation Fund and the Innovation Programme. During the current EU funding period, the Innovation Fund supports projects that seek solutions for implementing the changes identified in the Estonia 2035 strategy by applying new knowledge and technologies. The Innovation Programme is an approximately eight-month design-thinking-based programme for developing public services. Since 2019, four Innovation Programmes have been carried out, involving a total of 26 projects.

    1.5.1. Sustainable Food System Sustainability Dashboard

    Greenhouse gas emissions from Estonia’s agricultural sector have generally been on an upward trend in recent years. The sector therefore faces the challenge of reshaping its activities to meet environmental and climate objectives while also increasing productivity. This requires making greater use of the data held in existing databases to support informed decisions on how to progress towards achieving the objectives of the European Green Deal.
